Aniket Kumar Sinha
About
Backend engineer focused on building scalable distributed systems that improve reliability, operational efficiency, and real-world business outcomes. I work across backend architecture, infrastructure, performance engineering, and AI-powered developer tooling, primarily using Node.js, NestJS, Fastify, Kafka, Redis, MongoDB, and AWS.
At Zed Mobility, I have contributed across backend systems, infrastructure, and platform reliability initiatives powering large-scale mobility workloads. My work has focused on improving allocation efficiency, reducing operational costs, strengthening system resilience, and enabling faster execution across engineering teams.
I enjoy solving engineering problems that sit at the intersection of scale, reliability, developer productivity, and business impact. Outside of work, I contribute to open source, including adding grouped rate limiting and exponential backoff support to Fastify Rate Limit. I also actively explore AI-native engineering workflows, retrieval systems, and large-scale code understanding systems.
Winner of SIH Hackathon 2022.
Experience
Senior Software Engineer (Backend)
ZED MOBILITY LLC
- Led two major phases of the Zed platform and worked closely with multiple teams to get things delivered on time.
- Built an e-hailing aggregator that went live 30% faster than planned and passed the UAE Government audit.
- Improved driver-order matching by adding probability-based logic, reducing unfulfilled orders by 91%.
- Helped restore critical ride-hailing infrastructure during a regional AWS outage by rebuilding infrastructure, reconstructing critical data flows, and recovering platform operations under constrained restoration scenarios.
- Found and fixed a serious memory leak that was pushing heap usage to 16 GB; brought it down to 250 MB.
- Built a real-time ETA system using XGBoost and CatBoost (MAE 49s, p99 < 100ms, ~50K requests/day).
- Created a fast driver-availability service using Redis Lua scripts that returns nearby drivers in under 5ms.
- Added H3-based caching for map lookups, reaching a 70% hit rate and cutting Google Maps usage by 70%.
- Traced unexpected latency spikes to DNS issues and fixed them using CoreDNS and keep-alive connections for Redis, MongoDB, and external APIs.
NodeJS Developer
ZED MOBILITY LLC (via Future Infotech)
- Revamped complex MongoDB queries ensuring p99 latency of 100 ms.
- Engineered efficient services using Fastify and saved the client $8,000/month.
- Integrated open source solutions such as Turf.js, yielding improved latency and cost savings of $15,000/month.
Senior Engineer (Backend)
Rapid Innovations (Remote)
- Designed a robust AI agent to auto generate commit messages and PR description by implementing a vector database to fasten the KT process by 60% using langchain.
- Built a high-throughput Rust (Actix Web) backend with GraphQL for low-latency, scalable services.
Software Developer
Rapid Innovations
- Built and maintained the backend for a blockchain and e-commerce system made up of 13 services.
- Improved slow queries and brought down response times by 63%, based on New Relic and SonarQube results.
- Set up a WebSocket service that supported thousands of active chats without stability issues.
- Developed sLabs, a service that handled both marketplace features and blockchain operations.
- Added 1inch token swap and smart-contract support, which increased customer usage by 70%.
- Automated repeated tasks with AWS Lambda and cron jobs, saving the team about 4 hours of work each day.
Associate Software Developer
Rapid Innovations
- Contributed to a project lifecycle project by developing CRUD APIs for different services and delivered in 50% less time.
Skills
Projects
flowmap-cli
Breaks the single-repo limitation of Claude Code and Codex with cross-repo reasoning via a Bash CLI. Enables AI assistants to understand and reason across multiple repositories.
fastify-rate-limit
Open source contribution: Added grouped rate limiting so related endpoints share the same limit. Implemented Exponential Backoff to improve API stability under heavy load. Published to npm.
LNQ Marketplace
The LNQ Marketplace extends users' physical blockchain clothing collections digitally. Each item features LNQ's blockchain-enabled LNQ One Microchip, ensuring buyer and seller authentication and transparency.
Rainbow 61
Award-winning AI/ML-based Android app backend. App detects fish from images and provides species, harvest status, weight, and market value.
CloudBoxx
A cost-effective cloud Android application similar to Google Drive that stores files in AWS S3. Implemented folder structure and background upload.
